Brampton Parish Council
Welcome to our website
Brampton Parish Council is the first tier of local government in the civil parish of Brampton. It plays a key role in the life of the town, from running the weekly market to putting up the Christmas lights in the town centre. It has a wide range of powers and duties, reflecting its role in the everyday life of the Brampton community.
Brampton itself is a small market town and civil parish in North Cumbria, two miles south of Hadrian’s Wall. Located here is St Martin’s Church which is famous as the only church designed by the Pre-Raphaelite architect Philip Webb, and contains one of the most exquisite sets of stained glass windows designed by Sir Edward Burne-Jones and executed in the William Morris studio.
