My name is Robert Grebby, better known as ‘Bob’. I and my wife Marion, have lived in Brampton for just under 3 years.
In my early years, I used to visit Brampton every year, by taking regular 2-week holidays with my parents and staying at the original, Gilsland Convalescent Home.
We were both born In Newcastle upon Tyne, but we were getting tired of the traffic and the rate at which the City was expanding. Our hobbies include Gardening, Historic vehicles, Music.
Previously we organised and held weekly musical evenings and charity functions for the Royal British Legion and the St Oswald’s Children’s Cancer Charity, both in Tyne & Wear.
On one occasion, I was frogmarched into volunteering into being a Club Secretary, for the Royal British Legion, and couldn’t escape for 7 years.
With 40+ year’s experience in IT & Business, I still undertake some contract positions in the financial arena.
